MOLINO | the surreal fanfare from Elsewhere
Molino is an Amsterdam-based wind band with electronics and vocals. It’s a sheer tour de force of odd grooves, folklore, avant-garde and jazz influences that converge in an imaginative style, allegedly belonging to the faraway land of Elsewhere.
The reconfigured usage of this uncommon setting draws out tensions between structure and improvisation, storytelling and experimentation, the authentic and the unknown.
Molino released its debut album “Tales from Elsewhere” which was released in December 2015 and is currently working on a string of single and video releases.
